A thing, and its parts
A thing is something you own. A part is a replacement part or consumable that belongs to it. It needs no more structure than that.

The search that makes the difference
You type HU7126X and up comes “HU 712/6 X”. And the other way round. Spaces, slashes, hyphens, capitals and accents are folded away — on both sides of the comparison.
You decide what fits
PartPocket does not check compatibility and never claims any. It remembers your decision — which is the whole point: research it once, look it up forever.
Every part in one list
A dedicated tab lists every part across every thing, sorted by name, part number, last change or owning thing. The way people actually search: number in hand, appliance forgotten.
Brand, quantity, link, photo
Each part holds a brand, part number, quantity or size, a purchase link and notes. One photo per thing and per part — resized before it is saved.

Does PartPocket work out which part fits my appliance?
No, deliberately. An automatic compatibility claim that is wrong once costs you an ordered part that does not fit. You research it once and decide; PartPocket remembers that decision and finds it again.
What happens when I hit the free limits?
Only creating new entries is blocked. Everything already saved stays fully visible, searchable and exportable. Your library is never locked behind a paywall.
How do I move to a new iPhone?
Settings, Export writes a JSON file with everything. On the new device, Settings, Import. Import merges instead of overwriting and ignores the free limits. The regular iPhone backup contains the data as well.
Is there iCloud sync between my devices?
No, and that is a decision rather than an omission. The device backup covers loss, export and import cover the move to a new iPhone.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. A single purchase, no renewal, nothing to cancel. Whatever Pro was sold with stays included permanently.
I bought Pro and reinstalled the app. How do I get it back?
Settings, Restore purchase. The purchase belongs to your Apple Account, not to the device. Your entries come back by importing your export file.
Why doesn’t the app take the number off the photo automatically?
Because a 0 looks too much like an O. The camera reads the label and the app offers the lines that could be a part number, and you tap the right one.
Does my data leave the iPhone?
No. Things, parts, part numbers and photos live locally on the device; PartPocket has no backend. The only thing ever transmitted is feedback you write and send yourself.
Which iOS version do I need? Is there an Android version?
iOS 18 or later, on iPhone. Android is not planned at the moment.
Privacy
PartPocket collects nothing.
No account, no servers, no analytics. Here is what that means in practice:
- Your data stays on your deviceThings, parts, part numbers and photos are stored locally. PartPocket has no backend, so nothing is uploaded anywhere.
- No account, no sign-upYou never enter an email address or a password, so there is nothing to leak.
- No tracking, no adsThe app contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking. Your usage is not measured.
- You decide when data leavesThe export writes a JSON file only when you tap it, and only to where you send it. Opening a purchase link opens your browser as usual.
- Feedback goes to a serviceIf you send feedback, the message goes to Tellstack, along with the app version, your device model and your language — and your email address only if you type one in. Nothing from your library is included: no things, no part numbers, no photos. Nothing is sent unless you write and send something yourself.
Photos are read only when you pick one, and are resized before being saved. Deleted entries are removed for good after 30 days. Pro is purchased through Apple; we never see payment details. This website sets no cookies, loads no third-party fonts or scripts, and does not profile you either.
The same text sits inside the app under Settings → Privacy — where you do not even need a connection to read it.
Controller and your rights
The controller under the GDPR is Gerhard Kanzler, Ahornweg 1, 83410 Laufen, Germany, partpocket@rz-solutions.dev — full details in the imprint. You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. An informal email is enough.
The web server delivering this page processes the technically necessary access data (IP address, time, page requested, browser identification) in order to serve the page and keep it secure; the legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are deleted automatically after a short time. The app itself talks to no server of ours.
